Today I’d like to discuss the other Captain Jack. “There’s another one?” you may ask. Yes, there is. And, he is no stranger to Dr. Who fans. He is Captain Jack Harkness as played by John Barrowman on Dr. Who and the spin-off series, Torchwood. This is a perfect example of when it’s better to like a character rather than the actor who plays the character: Barrowman is openly gay. Actually, the character of Capt. Jack Harkness is apparently bisexual. But, hey, I can insert myself into the fantasies with the character, no problem. Captain Jack is incredibly good looking and lots of fun. He’s got the boyish grin down pat and he’s always willing to battle aliens, but does so with a sense of humor. Although, Torchwood has, at times, run the risk of taking itself too seriously. But, this Captain Jack is definitely worth a look.
